In the article entitled ‘‘Drug Resistance in Equine Parasites- an Emerging Global Problem’’ by Brady, et al in the May 2009 issue of Journal of Equine Veterinary Science (Volume 29, Number 5, pages 285-295), there are two corrections to the content. The heading “Equine Parasites With Developed Resistance to Current Anthelmintics” should read, “Equine Parasites and Current Anthelmintics.” “Long strongyles” should be omitted from the following sentence to read, “Important equine parasites that have been reported to have developed resistance to at least one class of equine anthelmintics include ascarids and small strongyles (cyathostomes).”
